Kasey Chambers - Southern Africa MAY 2017 & East Africa JUN 2019 Working with Matt Collins and Tourica Tours over the years has been one of my favourite working relationships I have developed throughout my whole career. Matt has not only been amazing to work with and given my family and I some of the most spectacular life experiences throughout Africa but he and the whole Tourica gang have become life long family friends. I always look forward to our next adventure together!” Kasey Chambers John Williamson - Southern Africa MAY 2016 & East Africa JUN 2018 I can't speak more highly of our recent African Music Safari Trip with John Williamson that Matt both organised and accompanied. John and I had the most amazing time. Matt's organisation of the trip was outstanding. Every detail was taken care of. We had a fabulous group of people who all became friends by the end of the trip. The itinerary was perfect, the settings for John's concerts were varied and we simply had a ball in a country that has so much to offer. There were just too many highlights to mention. Thank you Matt. John and I are looking forward to working with you on another Music Safari in 2018. I know there'll be plenty of returning customers from our first trip with you. Thanks again for everything. John & Meg Williamson Robyn Hitchcock - Southern Africa FEB 2016 & Vietnam DEC 2018 Imagine a collage of sights, feelings, sensations and climates, held together by a genial Melbourner and you're starting to picture a Tourica Tour. You'll find yourself serenaded (or serenading in the case of Emma Swift and myself) on riverboats, in nightclubs, at safari lodges and under starlight on an airstrip. You'll rise at dawn to look for elephants, track lions and ogle the buffalo; you'll trail leopards at dusk and return to find they've been drinking from your swimming pool. You'll confront some of the horrors of apartheid and marvel at the saint-like genius of Mandela. The mighty Victoria Falls cascading spray into a chasm several miles wide will print itself on your mind without you having to take a single photo. All the while you'll be in classy accom, and safe in the care of Matt and his team of guides. Yes, there will be crocodiles but they won't be a problem. And you'll go home with that precious commodity, a crop of new friends... RJH & Emma Swift Mick Thomas - Southern Africa FEB 2015, East Africa OCT 2016 & Vietnam AUG 2018 I entered the negotiations for the Tourica tour of southern Africa with some trepidation - not just for the wilds of Africa and the reported inherent danger of touring there, but for the prospect of spending that long a period within the confines of a company of true believers. But the tour itself was nothing short of amazing, well organised and thoughtfully put together. And with all that distraction the company of people with a unified cultural interest somehow became incredibly welcome and the prospects of some really enduring associations suddenly seemed more than likely. I could go on and on about the amazing sights we saw and the fine times we had in doing so but the most telling element of the whole experience for me was three weeks after we had returned to Australia when I played my first show back in Melbourne. Nearly the whole tour party attended and already they were planning their next get together when more of the inter-state people would be able to come. The whole experience has left me curious to explore more fully what Africa has to offer. I am grateful to have been given the chance to play my first shows in that part of the world and to finally put some actual personal associations to the endless and often bewildering list of names and places that make up Africa - for someone that has travelled the world constantly for thirty years without actually going there. Mick Thomas Northcote April 2015 ALEX "AJ" JULIUS "I've just returned from an 18 day adventure organised by Matt Collins of Tourica Tours. There are so many positives I can say about this trip. For starters, the organisational aspects were just great. Everything happened as it was supposed to and as we were told to expect. The game viewing we did at a private game reserve produced the goods (although we all ate too much!). Animal viewing and interpretation was wonderful...we saw the Big 5 repeatedly. We fished at two Lodges for tigerfish and caught plenty, including a few nice ones. These Lodges were very comfortable and we were well looked after. I certainly learnt so much about tigerfish which will help immensely with planning, timing and venues for the next visit in 2014. Victoria Falls and the town of Livingstone are a bucket list item on their own, and it was great to tick that box...especially with the spooky Walking With The Lions!! And how incredible is it to open your verandah door and hear the roar of the biggest falls in the world? Seeing theme from a chopper was a blast as you could imagine. One day at Chobe National Park was another mind-blower...elephant central here - we saw 8 elephants swim across the river, and on either side were hippos, crocs and wallowing Cape Buffalo! Watching mongoose fluffing the dirt looking for scorpions - or mambos! - was a treat too. I really can't speak more highly of an African Adventure organised by Tourica Tours."
